Hi, I’m Tyler, a technologist focused on addressing global sustainability issues.
In 2023, I founded a consultancy (VorGeo), which helps organizations build software infrastructure to better understand the Earth and how it is changing.
Previously, I spent over a decade at Google on the Earth Engine project, as an engineer and manager of the developer relations team. During that period the platform grew from 5 total users to over 50,000 monthly active users. Along the way I co-initiated the OpenET project, which provides access to water usage data for millions of fields.
Prior to that I worked at a technology non-profit and in academia. I started MichiganView and served as the technology chair for AmericaView, a network for advancing Earth observation education.
